Sunlight spilled through those huge windows, turning the hallway into this warm, cozy haven. Wrapped up in the oversized sweater that was bigger than she was, Baby L was cozy in the arms of her daddy. I swear, you could really see just how tiny she was – her little head fit right into her Dad’s hands as he held her up to his face. As Dad raised his baby girl up to meet him nose to nose, her tiny foot resting under his chin, the sweetest moment happened. L placed her teeny hand right on her daddy’s face. It was as if she was giving him her own little hug as he gave her nosey kisses. Cue the collective gasp from her mom and me – it was seriously the cutest thing ever. It was a picture-perfect moment, and the fact that it happened all on its own was something so special. Baby L’s Mama lit up as she watched her baby girl with her daddy. 


I absolutely love capturing those real, candid moments of new parents with their little ones. It just melts my heart. This is exactly why I’m so passionate about what I do. There’s something about freezing those moments in time that you can look back on forever. Like, seeing a mom’s eyes light up when she’s staring at her baby, seeing all the love dad has for his wife and little one, and a sweet new baby in his/her safe place while snuggled in mom or dad’s arms. What is better than that? It's pure magic. I still remember photographing my own daughters' newborn photos, and those memories are everything to me. And having the privilege to capture precious moments for the Lutzk family was no different. I’ll let you in on a little secret. The mama in these photos is actually my little sister. You may recognize her from the maternity session we did a few months back. Seeing B transition into the role of mom has been so fun for me. If you haven’t already noticed, I am in love with motherhood myself, so I love that now we can share in that together. 


B and S, I am so proud of you both. It is safe to say I am completely obsessed with Baby L. I feel so honored that I got to come photograph you three in your beautiful home. It makes me so happy!! I may be biased, but I'm pretty sure I have the cutest little niece in the world. I couldn’t help but smile the entire time I was going through and editing these photos. I was gushing over each and every one. I mean, how good does this family look?! I can’t wait to watch you grow as a family and see all that you do together. I am already counting down the days until I can see that sweet baby girl of yours again! Congrats again you two, you did good.
