As the warm sunlight poured into the beautiful nursery, it bounced off the walls, illuminating the room in a soft, golden glow. Decorated to perfection, the nursery felt straight out of a magazine. Filled with soft color tones, a mix of textures and patterns, and little animal details. It was perfect. The new parents, overwhelmed with joy, sat in front of the gold crib, cradling their precious baby boy. Every detail was being etched into their memory as they lovingly stared at their little one, who, in turn, gazed back up at them. And of course, the family dog, Harper, decided to join this sweet celebration. Lying comfortably on the rug, she was close enough to feel included but maintained a careful distance from the photo session unfolding before her. We all shared a laugh as Mom and Dad tried to coax Harper into a more photogenic position, but she had her own ideas about the perfect spot. And, honestly, who could blame her? She stood her ground, laying in what she deemed the most perfect spot for her. 


Having two dogs of my own, I can totally relate to the challenge of photographing our furry friends. They only half-listen, and those fake treats can only work wonders for so long, right? But, jokes aside, Harper turned out to be a natural in front of the camera. We captured the sweetest moments of her lounging on the bed with Baby H. Dogs are an essential part of the family, and I always try to include them in photos whenever possible. Sure, they might not always pose as we'd like them to, but that's the beauty of a lifestyle session. It's about capturing genuine moments, imperfections and all. I love in-home newborn sessions because they allow everyone to be themselves. The comfort of your own home creates a relaxed and cozy atmosphere, providing the perfect backdrop for authentic moments. It is all about the genuine connection and love the people share.

Baby H is undeniably adorable, and it's evident how much love surrounds him from his amazing parents, sweet grandparents, and, of course, his future best friend, Harper.
