There we were, in the gorgeous, white-walled Lumen Room in Austin. Soft, natural light was streaming in through the tall, oversized windows, filling the space with a calm, airy glow. And right there in that beautiful window light stood Morganne and Graydon. Their arms wrapped lovingly around each other, hands gently resting on mama’s growing baby bump. As they looked at each other and then down at that sweet bump, baby girl decided she wanted to join the moment too! With a perfectly timed little kick, she made sure we all knew she was there. Both of them felt those tiny, miraculous movements beneath their palms—a moment so small, yet so unforgettable. Morganne giggled as she mentioned her daughter’s little flutters, and my heart melted right then and there. What a perfect start to a maternity session. Baby girl kicking her way into the spotlight, letting mom and dad know she’s happy, healthy, and already so loved.
From the very first moment I met them, I knew Morganne and Graydon were going to be incredible parents. They are attentive, caring, and already so focused on making sure baby girl is safe and loved. I first had the honor of photographing them for their announcement photos, so seeing them again for their maternity session felt like such a sweet full-circle moment for me. I know just how excited they are to meet their precious daughter, and I also know she is already treasured beyond words. At first, Morganne wasn’t sure she wanted to do maternity photos (we had booked their newborn session first), but she eventually decided to go for it, and I am so glad she did! Pregnancy is such a fleeting, beautiful season, and it deserves to be documented. After receiving her gallery, Morganne told me, “You captured this special season so perfectly, and we truly couldn’t have imagined them turning out any better. Each photo feels full of warmth, joy, and love, and we’re so grateful to have these memories preserved in such a stunning way.” Seriously, the best message I could have ever received!!
