The sun was peeking out from behind the trees. The wind was blowing through their hair. It was a beautiful Saturday evening at Cibolo Nature Center. Little man was squatting down in the gravel intensely examining the ants crawling along the rocks. I mean, what little boy isn’t fascinated by bugs? As he was looking down at them, we were all looking at him with smiles on our faces. And that’s when dad started singing. From behind me I heard, “The ants go marching one by one…”. Little man’s head shot up to look at his dad and the best smile started to form on his adorable face. It was the biggest smile of the night! He started picking up his legs and stomping them on the ground to march along with dad’s singing (and with the ants of course). His little arms marched along with his legs. All of us couldn’t help but smile along with him.
This moment was the BEST way to end the Marchis family’s session. The entire session was a joy from listening to the birds chirp, admiring the big trees, and splashing in the water, but seeing little man’s face light up when he heard his dad singing one of his favorite songs was just the cherry on top. During our time together it was very easy to see how great of parents mom and dad are to their son. They love singing songs, playing together, and exploring nature. That boy is SO loved and he loves his mom and dad just as much! From snuggling on mom’s shoulder to laughing and goofing off with dad, there were so many precious moments during their session. It just warms our hearts!
Marchis Family, thank you for stepping out of your comfort zones to hang out with us and have a family session. We know how priceless these moments are and we absolutely loved documenting them for you! You are the cutest, sweetest family and we are so excited for all the new adventures you will have with your newest little addition! We wish you nothing but the best.
